Class I = BA or experience (non-CTE) / occupational experience without BA; II = minimum qualifications; III = BA+45 or MA+15 units (CTE: AA+6 yrs, CCI credential plus BA); IV = BA+60 or MA+30 (CTE: BA+2 yrs); V = BA+75 or MA+45 (CTE: MA+2 yrs, or Class IV plus 15 units with MA).

Earned doctorate: advanced two additional steps; doctorate holders at Class V step 13 or beyond receive a $6,571 stipend.
